Introduction
Sapience undertook a comprehensive study of the adoption, usage, and perception of cloud computing among businesses in the UAE. Through face-to-face interviews using Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) with IT decision-makers across various sectors, insights and key findings were identified.
Objectives
To understand the current landscape of cloud computing adoption in the UAE, including challenges, opportunities, and future prospects.
Methodology

Outcome
It was discerned that cloud computing adoption has been embraced by 60% of companies, particularly within the E-commerce (70%) and Banking & Finance (65%) sectors. The primary motivators propelling companies towards the cloud are enhanced business agility (50%) and the prospect of cost efficiency (40%). However, the journey to cloud adoption has not been without its challenges. Many companies expressed significant security concerns (35%) and apprehensions related to regulatory issues (25%). Despite these hurdles, the forward-looking sentiment remains optimistic. A substantial 75% of respondents view cloud computing as an indispensable tool for future growth, with 40% gearing up to amplify their investments in this domain.
